I just returned from my first Board meeting and multi-day retreat. Topics of conversation: the Gulf situation (of course), the Senate climate bill (gets about a D+ grade at this point) and chapters. Some positive first steps to integrate Sierra Club activism at both the fundraising/programming and state/national levels. An enjoyable group of people on the Sierra Club board. Next meeting will be the fall annual meeting where all chapters will join the board in San Francisco.
