2010 America’s Most Endangered Rivers™ Since 1986, American Rivers has released its America’s Most Endangered Rivers™ report to spotlight the nation’s ten most threatened rivers and energize the public to take actions that can help save them. Charles, for more than 25 years, American Rivers, the nation’s leading river conservation organization, has highlighted critical threats to the nation’s rivers through our America’s Most Endangered Rivers™ report.   We select the 10 rivers across the country facing the most critical and near-term threats. These rivers are at a crossroads, and will be confronted by decisions in the coming year that could determine their fate. And you can help. Their future depends on you. But there is still hope for these rivers. By taking action, you can let the decision makers know how important these rivers are to you – and how important it is that they act quickly to save them and remove them from this list.
