Charles, for more than 25 years, American Rivers, the nation’s leading river conservation organization, has highlighted critical threats to the nation’s rivers through our America’s Most Endangered Rivers™ report.

We select the 10 rivers across the country facing the most critical and near-term threats. These rivers are at a crossroads, and will be confronted by decisions in the coming year that could determine their fate. And you can help. Their future depends on you.

But there is still hope for these rivers. By taking action, you can let the decision makers know how important these rivers are to you – and how important it is that they act quickly to save them and remove them from this list.

Through the years, the America’s Most Endangered Rivers™ report has helped save rivers from the Penobscot in Maine to the Klamath in California, from the Elwha in Washington to the Big Sunflower in Mississippi, and many others across the country.

American Rivers fights hard to protect and restore our nation’s rivers. With your help we can stop these threats. Please take action now. Together we can save our rivers.

Sincerely,
Rebecca R. Wodder, American Rivers President
