Subject: Re: What to
do?
You (the SC) can't focus only on the "bought and paid
for Dems.." ... that scares the electorate into thinking that only the Dems are
corrupted ....(the TEA party has demonstrated that) The electorate now
has an image that the Republicans are moderates like Robert Ray and Branstad in
his eariler days.. You (the SC) have to Educate the electorate on How
the Wing nuts have taken over the Iowa Republicans.. some are single issue
anti-abortion types...and some hang on to the Reagan slogan that "Government is
the Problem.." So you must
discredit the Republicans who are Bought and paid for.. Get water samples of
downstream pollution from Hog Confinement and Manure spills... Get the Data on
how Iowa is losing its topsoil.. along with the Nitrates that have made the
Mississippi Green with algae..."The Mississippi Mud is the best of Iowa... Not
just Mud" .... get the dirt on Who is going to bat for the
Polluters... The Republicans do not want to fund education.... they do not
want environmental legislation.. their slogan could be "Keep them (the
electorate) Dumb" so the electorate will "follow Blindly" .....
If you discredit the Republicans then the Dems will see they are Next in the SC
sights.. so they better move to the Green side.. In Iowa the
advances in yields using Hybrid Soybeans, Corn, and Hogs have
been part of our "up-bringing"... Improvement through Science...It
is impossible to fight that impression... but if the SC could
publish how much money the "niche" or the "other Agriculture" shown at
Farmers markets amounts to..... then you will have sharper weapons in the
battle.... why do you think Congressman Latham does so well .... he has
signs up in so many cornfields year round... and folks relate Latham Hybrid
to "something good"... even though we know Latham is out for only the corporate
Good... That's how I see "What to
do"... Ken Larson >

have influence over the subsidies and how they are spent. And he would have a
bully pulpit and even a national voice. But, (since I'm already being cynical
this morning...) I believe neither party will give Francis much support if he
gets in.

Volunteering for environmentalcandidatess is what we can do right now!
