Yes! I agree. I ran for State Representative in Dallas County in 2008 just for this reasoning. I'm presently the Iowa regional coordinator of 1Sky and held a 10/10/10 Global Work Party in Des Moines at 13th and Locust, which a few from Sierra Club attended.

Surely you don't mean imply that we all aren't doing this work already?  Of course we are.

However, this will not change the fact that we have had a Dem governor and Dem majorities in both Iowa houses for years, and the state legislature has done virtually nothing to move the environmental issues.  My comments have been about this dilemma, and what will we do in the long-run to address this situation.
