We asked you to contact your legislators about HF45 – the bill that would have de-appropriated funds from important environmental programs in the 2011 state budget.
Your legislators listened!
Today the Iowa House of Representatives unanimously passed the Senate-amended bill - meaning that REAP avoided cuts this current fiscal year, the DNR public lands programs will remain intact for the rest of fiscal year 2011, and smart planning principles and guidance will remain in Iowa code.
Please take time to follow the link in this email, which will take you to a page on our website, from which you can send your Representative a thank you email.
We will continue to monitor legislation which has the potential to affect Iowa’s water, air and soils, including the 2012 budget proposal, and let you know if/when your elected officials need to hear from you on these topics.
Thank you for your continued participation as an Action Alert volunteer!
Sincerely,
Lynn Laws
