Gore and the Democrats chose not to demand a full recount of the vote in Florida. A recount would have shown that Gore won Florida. That bad decision, along with Gore's feeble campaigning, gave us eight years of George W. Bush. We have post cards for the kids that say " Dear President Obama, Please save the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge as a National Monument so I can hike there when I grow up."
