Some of you might be interested in reading the obituary of Aldo Leopold's daughter, Nina Leopold Bradley, who died late last month.  She carried on her father's work and interests, and was an absolutely wonderful person.  http://www.jsonline.com/news/obituaries/122658879.html

For those of you who are buffs of arcane elements of Sierra Club history, Nina's second husband Carl Bradley was the son of former Sierra Club Honorary President Harold Bradley.  Before he moved to Wisconsin to go to medical school Harold was a protoge of John Muir and other early Sierra Club leaders.  When I knew him when I first started with the Club in 1969 he was in his mid nineties, but still flew up from time to thime from his home in Los Angeles to go to meetings -- what is it about these Sierra Club physicians!?

Harold Bradley had several children who were active in conservation activities in Wisconsin and elsewhere.  When Nina and Carl were married in the early 70s it seemed to the Wisconsin environmental community less like a wedding than a merger of dynasties.

Best,
Jonathan
