Here is the roll call. I would urge
everyone to contact their legislators and tell them what you think. I
have. I am very unhappy about this but at least the president has signaled
that he will veto this awful bill. Mr. Mica is in the district next to
mine and I called his office. They must think we’re stupid because
his aide told me that his bill will help enforcement of clean water
standards. Oh course it will NOT.

wanted to let people know that the really bad Clean Water Act bill, H.R. 2018,
likely will not come to the House floor next week. The Republican
leadership is committed to passing the bill -- they've put that in writing --
so it will be up at some point.
We
are using this factsheet on the bill on the Hill. Thanks to Albert
Ettinger for his review. Please urge your Member of Congress to vote
against this bill.
