For those of you who are Facebook regulars, please join the "Iowa Beyond Coal" group. 

Iowa Beyond Coal was started by a student, Gavin Moore, who is working (I believe) with both the Sierra Student Coalition and the Coal to Clean Energy Campaign, focusing on the coal plants at the universities.  Verena Owen from Chicago, volunteer co-lead of the Coal to Clean Energy Campaign, is a member of the Iowa Beyond Coal group, so we do have some people involved at the senior Club level who may be helpful to our cause.

And, I'm sure Gavin won't mind if we talk about Beyond Coal in more than just the Iowa universities... coal-fired corn-ethanol plants come to mind.... pyrolsis of prairie-type perennial plants would kill two birds with one stone.....
