My name is Mark Ungerer and I represent Jefferson County Farmers and Neighbors (JFAN).  JFAN has been working successfully for over a decade to give local community members a louder voice to prevent factory farm proliferation in Jefferson County.  I am currently developing an outreach program to try to assist community members in counties throughout Iowa .

Our goal in this program is to assist communities with the organization and education necessary to effectively oppose CAFO expansion using the same successful model as JFAN.
