    at our bi-monthly meeting:

We will discuss environmental issues and conservation issues current to Orange County Residents such as the current status of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Plan shutdown, as well as discuss the various hikes and other activities being presented in Orange County in the near future.

 

PROGRAM: New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment

            The fabulous and colorful Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta,  the historic towns of Albuquerque; Santa Fe, and Taos; the native American pueblos of Taos and Acoma; the incredible Chaco Canyon and its many pueblo ruins; as well as the Bandelier, Kasha Kitwe Tent Rocks, and the Petroglyph National Monuments for your viewing pleasure.  Presented by Mike and Patty Sappingfield, who led a Sierra Sage trip to these areas last year.

                                Northbound on I-5, exit at La Paz, turn right onto La Paz, cross Marguerite Parkway and proceed over Oso Creek.  Turn left onto Veterans Way and drive to the Murray Center Parking lot.

 

                                Southbound on I-5, exit at La Paz, turn left onto La Paz,  cross Marguerite Parkway and Oso Creek.  Turn left onto Veterans Way and drive to the Murray  Center Parking Lot
