Happy Winter Solstice!
 
According to Slate, the Solstice occurred at 5:12 this morning, Central Time. 
 
Thank that 23.5 degree axial tilt of our Earth, relative to the plane of its orbit, for the seasons. And thank science for giving us this information; would that our knowledge of science be no longer used for destruction of Nature and of ourselves.
