STATE INTERAGENCY GROUP HOLDS MEETING REGARDING MISSOURI RIVER APRIL 24

DES MOINES - The State Interagency Missouri River Authority (SIMRA) will
meet April 24 in Des Moines. The meeting will include reports from the Corps
of Engineers and the State's Hydrology Work Group. The Corps of Engineers
(COE) will discuss anticipated spring and summer river flows and reservoir
operations. The COE will provide updates on the current drought conditions
in the Missouri River basin and the impact of anticipated conditions on the
reservoir system, and will be providing an overview of their Missouri River
projects for 2013.

 

The SIMRA seeks stakeholder input and makes recommendations on policies
affecting the Missouri River. The group will meet at 9 a.m. in the Wallace
State Office Building, Conference Room 4 East, 502 E. Ninth St., Des Moines.
The meeting is open to the public.
