The removal of the Rockford Dam is on. You can watch the live cam at http://bridge.omnitel.biz/. It took a long time to get to this point with this project, like they all seem to. This is one of 5 dam mitigations happening from fall through winter this year. Those include Elkader Little Dam, Boone Water Works Dam, Quasqueton Dam, Rockford Dam, and a small dam on the Little Wapsipinicon near North Washington (a fisheries-driven project at a Chickasaw County Conservation Board park).
