This was posted on the biotech forum by my colleague Laurel Hopwood. (We are on the GEAT, the Genetic Engineering Action Team.) It's about a positive trend.

Laurel recently posted some items that are more negative. Not emergencies--I may forward them here soon.--Tom

Subject: Big brands are listening to the signals in the marketplace

http://www.foodnavigator-usa.com/Markets/Global-ID-I-wouldn-t-say-the-writing-is-on-the-wall-for-GM-crops-but-big-brands-are-listening-to-the-signals-in-the-marketplace/?utm_source=newsletter_daily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Newsletter%2BDaily&c=ygEptU9e6c1VlF0BXKhqMw%3D%3D

clips from this copyrighted foodnavigator-usa.org article ...

If big food brands start to lose the GM argument at the checkout and
in the court of public opinion, they will feel compelled to respond,
whether they are in favor of GM crops or not, predicted
trend-watchers at Expo West.

Big brands are listening to the signals in the marketplace and their
antennaes are up ... they are doing work behind the scenes to see how
feasible it is to switch to non GMO ingredients in their food brands.
