Furthermore, the corn that is used for ethanol is not food. It is feed for animals. And it is not the animals' natural food. The only purpose of feeding corn to animals is to make them gain weight faster. I heard someone say that the Native Americans introduced the European "immigrants" to two things: tobacco and corn. And it is hard to determine which was worse. It's nothing more than an ad. Always good to read above the article to see if it's "commercial content". Oil companies are trying to kill Renewable Fuel Standard. I'm no advocate of the RFS, but I do know a slanted article when I see it. You may recall that the Club has supported the RFS in the past, but if I recall what Jesse wrote recently on the issue, we have not taken a position on reauthorizing it. As much as I dislike the RFS because it's used for conventional corn as opposed to cellulosic sources, I despise API - American Petroleum Institute, even more.
