Every once in awhile I assume the role of the anti-Christ on this discussion exchange with defense of things like hunting, SUV's, and lead shot.  There has been recent discussion of GMO's, with the sentiment seeming to run against them.  I have spent an adult career in science-biology and the journals I have looked at never found health problems with the consumption of such plants.  Attached is an article by the normally conservative columnist from the Washington Post on the anti-science views of too many people in the US.  You will note his passing comment about GMO's.  Please click on the link of the article that refers to the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine article on GMO's.  To save time, go to page 7 where it discusses the safety of GMO crops.  I don't suppose this science article will change any minds, mindsets being what they are, but, perhaps it is food for thought.  Lanny Schwartz
