Let us not forget that corporations are granted charters for the purpose of serving a public need. Corporations like Dow and Monsanto, with their records of bad behavior, deserve to have their charters revoked, so that they can be reorganized on an ethical basis.--Tom

Tell EPA, USDA and President Obama to Stop DowChemical's "Agent Orange" Crops

The EPA has just opened a public commentperiod on the approval of the use of toxic 2,4-D specifically forDow's GE corn and soybeans. EPA is timing their approval process withthat of USDA, with both agencies proposing approval of the Dow AgentOrange, GE crop system.

Dow Chemical, the same company that brought us Dursban, Napalm, andAgent Orange, is now in the food business and is pushing for anunprecedented government approval: genetically engineered (GE)versions of corn, soybeans and cotton that are designed to surviverepeated dousing with 2,4-D, half of the highly toxic chemical mixtureAgent Orange.

Agent Orange was the chemical defoliant used by the U.S. in Vietnam, and it caused lasting environmental damage as well as many seriousmedical conditions in both American veterans and the Vietnamese.

Tell EPA, USDA, and President Obama to stop Dow Chemical's "AgentOrange" crops!
