You are invited to join us

    at our bi-monthly meeting:

We will discuss environmental issues and conservation issues current to
Orange County Residents as well as discuss the various hikes and other
activities being presented in Orange County in the near future.

PROGRAM: Caminos de Santiago or How to make the famous pilgrimage to
Santiago de Compostela

Find out why the motto of the Caminos de Santiago is "the way is the goal."
Ed and Helen Maurer will talk about and show pictures of the 1000 year old
routes they have followed from Switzerland toward Santiago de Compostela in
Spain. Although there's plenty to see along the trail, from Romanesque
churches to pretty villages, from austere highlands to fantastic beaches,
the daily ten-mile walk is an opportunity for quiet contemplation and for
conversation with others on the 'same errand', i.e. the enjoyment of a major
time-out from daily pressures and a chance to connect with others and
re-connect with oneself. The pictures you'll see attempt to evoke this
unique quality of walking the Caminos. Presented by Ed and Helen Maurer.
