Subject: Iowa Wildlife Action Plan Nominations for Additional Taxa

The Iowa Wildlife Action Plan (IWAP) is soliciting nominations for considering additional taxonomic groups in the next revision of the Wildlife Action Plan. Currently, the IWAP considers the entire classes of Mammals, Birds, Amphibians, Fish, Reptiles, Odonates, Butterflies, and Mussels, as well as 8 terrestrial snails on the state threatened or endangered list.
If you are interested in seeing additional taxonomic groups considered in this revision, please look over the attached Nomination Form and submit the requested information to Karen Kinkead (

October 15th, 2014. Please distribute this email and nomination form to anyone you believe may be interested in seeing additional taxonomic groups considered in the Iowa Wildlife Action Plan.
