Fellow Sierrans,

 The nominating committee for the statewide Iowa Chapter Executive
Committee would greatly appreciate it if you could suggest names of
potential candidates that we could contact to see if they would consider
putting their name on the ballot.  (And the election of someone from your
area to the committee  could make your meeting commute more enjoyable!)


 Comments I've heard as to what the Iowa Chapter is wanting from nominees:
  that they share our Sierra Club goals, are willing to attend meetings
(four per year, mostly in the Des Moines Area) and participate in scheduled
conference calls on a regular basis;  give attention to messages on the
list serve;  and participate actively in the activities and efforts of the
Chapter.    And it would be great to expand the diversity of the ExCom.


 We have five openings for the ballot, and more candidates would be good.
A person must be a Sierra Club member to serve and a name will not be
placed  on the ballot  unless/until  they are a member.


Please give this your consideration and let us know your suggestions as
soon as possible.
