at our bi-monthly meeting:
We will discuss environmental issues and conservation issues current to
Orange County Residents as well as discuss the various hikes and other
activities being presented in Orange County in the near future.
Program: Backpacking the John Muir Trail. Garry McCoppin will present his
experience, observations, and photos taken over 200 miles by foot. The trail
begins at Yosemite at 4,000 ft., crosses nine passes at 11,000 - 13,000 ft.
altitude and ends with ascending Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the
continental USA. Camping is mostly at 8,000 - 10,000 ft. Join us to see
the beautiful High Sierra terrain of the most famous California trail.

DIRECTIONS:
Northbound on I-5, exit at La Paz, turn right onto La Paz, cross Marguerite
Parkway and proceed over Oso Creek. Turn left onto Veterans Way and drive
to the Murray Center Parking lot.
Southbound on I-5, exit at La Paz, turn left onto La Paz, cross Marguerite
Parkway and Oso Creek. Turn left onto Veterans Way and drive to the Murray
Center Parking Lot
