Radon, a naturally-occurring invisible gas, is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. You can't see, smell or taste radon, but it may be a problem in your home. The good news is that radon exposure is preventable. Testing is the only way to know if your family’s home has elevated radon and this month is a great time to take action. Nationally, one in 15 homes are above the level at which the U.S. Surgeon General and EPA recommend taking action.
