The plan provides guidance for stewardship
of park wilderness and backcountry recreation and direct management of park
resources, visitor uses and facilities for the next 15 to 20 years. The
park service’s preferred alternative would continue the current management
approach and provides for no new infrastructure of visitor
facilities.
National Park Service spokesman
John Quinley said the updated plan doesn’t change anything
fundamental.
