The
Labor and Economic Justice Program at National Sierra Club has been involved in
the Fight for $15 campaign. If you are in Des Moines on Jan. 28, feel
free to join in the rally. Details are below.
At 5:00
pm, we'll begin to gather at Nollen Plaza at 221 Walnut in Downtown Des
Moines. The march begins at 5:30. We'll march to the Iowa Events
Center, where the Republican Debate is happening and have a short program and rally.
We'll leave around 7 or 7:30pm.
64
million Americans don't make $15 an hour at work. It's time we fight back.
On Thursday, January 28, Republican Presidential candidates are holding a
debate in Des Moines, Iowa. Be there with us to make it clear that low-wage
workers will no longer be ignored. Iowa needs a raise. This is the year we tell
candidates that we won't be taken for granted. Raise your voice to say
"Come Get My Vote!"
