You are invited to come to our meeting and listen to Virgil Shields share with you his exciting experiences climbing rocks and peaks in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Virgil has a very interesting background. Not only was he the Chair of the Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club for three years (2003, 2004, and 2005), he also worked as a scientist in the Aerospace Industry, has taught at Corinth University, and is now teaching University and College classes back here in Southern California. In his spare time, he has climbed many of the rocks and peaks in Southern California and in the Sierra Nevadas.
We also will cover upcoming hikes, current status of San Onofre Nuclear Plant fuel storage issue, and other topics of interest.
