As a P.S., I suspect many Iowans don't realize that very low levels of
dicamba drift can damage some landscaping and garden plants. I'd bet much of
that damage never gets officially reported, especially since the damaged
plants survive. Two classic symptoms are leaf-cupping and strapping. Box
elders and grapes are very susceptible -- both were damaged near my house
this year.

Across the field by the flashing weir,
Slowly, solemnly stalking." (Mary Austin)

Pesticide ‘drifting’ wreaks havoc across US crops
EDITED
At least 2.5 million soy acres are impacted.
Monsanto and BASK developed new dicamba-resistant soybean and cotton
seeds, allowing farmers to spray crops later in the growing process.

Larry Martin in Illinois says he’s never seen anything like it in his 35
years of farming. Arkansas soybean grower Joe McLemore says he faces the
loss of his life savings.

EPA is reviewing its directions on how to use the latest versions of the
weed killer dicamba, following hundreds of reports about crop damage when
traces of it drift away from application sites.
