---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Kathryn Phillips <[log in to unmask]> Date: Fri, Sep 18, 2020 at 9:56 AM Subject: Open Letter to California s on Climate Action To: <[log in to unmask]> Hi folks, Today the Los Angeles Times and the Sacramento Bee each carried a full-page ad about actions the governor must take to arrest climate change. This ad was paid for by the national Club and drafted and signed by the Club, CEJA and EarthJustice. There will be social media and other posts associated with this ad. Please, if you use social media, consider reposting the social media or simply posting the ad or a link to the ad. There is a website for more info: SC.org/5fortheFuture. Note that the five climate actions are consistent with what Sierra Club staff and activists and our allies have been promoting in various venues for years. Now that the governor has indicated a willingness to do more about climate change, we hope this list will help motivate him to act boldly. He can advance each of these points with existing authority granted to various administrative agencies.
