How to Secure Federal Funding for State and Local Projects. Saturday, April 9, 2022 beginning at 12:00pm PT/3:00pm ET.
 

Sierra Club’s Jen Hensley, Director State Lobbying and Advocacy, and Taylor Becker, State Lobbying and Advocacy Representative, will speak about current and upcoming federal funding mechanisms for state and local climate related projects.

 

Two Grassroots Network teams, the Climate Emergency Mobilization (CEM) Team and the Climate Adaptation and Restoration Team, will jointly host this presentation during the teams’ 90-minute virtual meeting on Saturday April 9, 2022 at 12:00pm PT/3:00pm ET. Everyone is welcome to join us on Zoom.

 
Jen and Taylor's presentation will review:
 -- Operational mechanisms by which federal funding is or will be available
 -- Amounts of funding available from federal legislation or programs
 -- Various tracking tools that can help identify what funds are available and from which federal agency or department
 -- Examples of successfully funded projects and lessons learned
