I hope to see you at the Annual meeting of the Iowa Chapter of the Sierra Club on September 16, from 10:30 to 3 in Grinnell, at the Joe Rosenfield Center at Grinnell College, Room JRC 101. Cost is $30 per person. We will have speakers plus a really great lunch. RSVP by Sept. 6.

Neil Hamilton will be reading from his newly released book, The River Knows. Neil is the former director of Drake University Agriculture Law Center.  He is now a professor emeritus at Drake.   

Dr. Dan Flores will be discussing his book Wild New World: The Epic Story of Animals and People in America.  Dr. Flores served as the A.B. Hammond Chair in Western History at the University of Montana.  He is working with Ken Burns on a documentary on the bison.  Later this year, Time magazine will be publishing his article about the 50th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act.  Dr. Flores will be appearing via Zoom.
