The Sierra Club is America’s largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization, with more than 3.8 million members and supporters nationwide. In addition to helping people from all backgrounds explore nature and our outdoor heritage, the Sierra Club works to promote clean energy, safeguard the health of our communities, protect wildlife, and preserve our remaining wild places through grassroots activism, public education, lobbying, and legal action. For more information, visit www.sierraclub.org. Our regional chapter and group structure provides a local venue for engaging in efforts:
You are invited to join us for an open house Tuesday, January 23 at 7 PM at the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo to hear from local activists about what your local Sierra Club offers you. You will be introduced to some of the many benefits available to local Sierra Club members. Explore ways to get outdoors with fellow Sierra Club members. Learn about the challenges and opportunities to make a difference for the environment in our local communities. With a presidential election on the horizon this year, find out how you can help mobilize members to get out the vote.
This open house will be held both in-person and virtually. The rain is predicted to move on by tomorrow, so plan to join us in person. If you must attend virtually, contact one of the leaders for the link after you RSVP,
