Hi all, Sky will be presenting in Ames if anyone can make it! Contact
Jennifer (below) for info.
ISU SEC is having Dave "Sky" Damstrom speak Thurs., Feb. 11 @ 8 p.m. in the
Sun Room of the Memorial Union. He'll be presenting a multimedia
presentation about the Great Bear Rainforest, the largest intact temperate
rainforest in the world, and the First Nations' struggles to preserve their
way of life and the forest. Greenspeace, SSC and other groups are also
actively protesting logging in the GBR. I thought your group might be
interested. We were also planning on going out to eat with Dave before the
presentation, and I wanted to invite your group to join us. I thought it
might be a good time to not only meet Dave and ask him questions, but also
for the groups to meet, network and brainstorm on Iowa issues.
Please let me know if you're interested. We'd love to have you.
