INPUT SOUGHT CONCERNING FUTURE USES OF IOWA'S STATE FORESTS

The DNR's Forests and Prairies Division held a public forum August 12th at
the State Forest Nursery near Ames.

This forum was one of five to seek input from Iowa residents,
organizations, educators and businesses concerning the future of Iowa's
state forests. The purpose of the forums is to provide an overview of
current activities, to identify special qualities of Iowa's state forests
and to generate ideas on future uses of Iowa's state forests.

The public is invited to attend the public forums facilitated by The E
Resources Group, an independent consulting firm.   Meetings were previously
held concerning Yellow River State Forest and Stephens State Forests.

the Ames meeting must be postmarked before August 26, 1999.***

DONNELLSON – The Forests and Prairies Division of the DNR will hold a
public forum at 7 p.m. August 19 at the Pilot Grove Community Room, located
off Highway 218, in Donnellson.
