Forwarded by Jane Clark at [log in to unmask] IOWATER Training Workshop Water monitoring training set for October October 16-17, Springbrook Conservation Education Center IOWATER - Iowa's new statewide volunteer water quality monitoring program - has scheduled its second statewide training workshop. The workshop will provide volunteers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in assessing and evaluating the chemical, physical, and biological health of aquatic ecosystems and their watersheds. Participants will learn how to collect and analyze aquatic organisms, chemical water samples, and physical stream attributes. Instruction in organizing local volunteer groups will also be provided.
